We’re truly delighted that Early Opera Company has received a nomination in this year’s Olivier Awards, for Outstanding Achievement in Opera.
In conjunction with The Royal Opera, it recognises the performances of Monteverdi Orfeo at The Roundhouse and Cavalli L’Ormindo at Sam Wanamaker Playhouse over the last year. Both of these productions have shown how baroque opera can thrive in both large and intimate spaces, with talented musicians, inspired direction and exquisite design allowing the music to shine through.
It’s a privilege to be in the company of other such fine musicians, and we await the announcement on 12 April with baited breath!
