The focus of 2013 was our work as Associate Artists at Spitalfields Music Summer Festival, including Handel Susanna, a Monteverdi co-production with contemporary choreographers and dancers East London Dance, and a staged performance of JS Bach’s witty Coffee Cantata in a Hoxton gallery.[/fusion_builder_column]
[fusion_builder_column type=”1_2″ last=”yes”]We also worked with Spitalfields Music on their spellbinding and ground-breaking Musical Rumpus, presenting Monteverdi for babies aged 0-2 and their carers. Over the summer we returned to Iford Festival in a new production of Handel Acis and Galatea, and earlier in the year gave a live BBC Radio 3 broadcast of a gripping programme of ‘Handel and the Rival Queens’ at St George’s Bristol as part of BBC Radio 3’s Baroque Spring. EOC highlights over the years include our Vivaldi’s Angels at Spitalfields Music Winter Festival, Dido and Aeneas at Wigmore Hall and the Vic Early Music Festival in Spain, BBC Proms in 2010, Handel’s Partenope at the Buxton Festival and the Snape Proms, Thomas Arne’s Alfred at the Linbury Studio of the Royal Opera House (broadcast on BBC Radio 3). The Company appears regularly at Wigmore Hall and Iford Festival.
