Dave has been a professional Trumpet player for over 30 years, specialising in historically-informed performance and the Natural Trumpet. In this time he has travelled all over the world and has played Principal Trumpet for many years with leading ensembles including Gabrieli Consort and Players/Paul McCreesh, Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra/Ton Koopman, Les Talens Lyriques/Christophe Rousset, Bach Collegium Japan/Mazaki Suzuki as well as playing at Royal Opera House,Covent Garden on both Modern and Natural Trumpet. He has played/recorded with EOC and Christian since the early 90’s, his disography includes Deutsche Grammophon, Erato, Phillips, Chandos, Winged Lion, L’Oiseau-Lyre. Dave teaches Natural Trumpet at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
