Written at the culmination of the young Handel’s years of study in Italy, the oratorio La Resurrezione is one of Handel’s most vibrant and moving works.
With virtuoso arias, heart-breaking laments, duets and choruses, Handel portrays the resurrection through the sorrow and subsequent jubilation of Christ’s closest followers, while depicting the fierce battle between Heaven and Hell.
Join Claire Booth, Mhairi Lawson, Hilary Summers, Benjamin Hulett and Callum Thorpe, as we take you on an intimate journey through sorrow and joy. Andrew Griffiths will guest direct this performance, as Christian Curnyn is unwell.
There are a very few tickets remaining in each area of the hall, so don’t leave it too late to book.
